Defensive Driving Course Chances are, YOU have been, or will be, involved in a traffic accident unless…YOU learn a better way to drive through DDC. The Defensive Driving Course is part of the National Safety Council's campaign to reduce the toll of deaths, human suffering and economic loss due to traffic accidents, through the teaching of accident-avoidance techniques. Last year, traffic accidents accounted for more than 50,000 deaths, nearly 2 million disabling injuries and approximately $15 billion in property damage. Based upon past records, 66% to 85% of all traffic accidents are due to human error - mistakes made by people like you, your family, friends and coworkers. DDC helps reduce accidents by teaching defensive driving methods and increasing driver awareness. |
